It's important that a Surface RT machine v1 would be able to upgrade to the next release of Windows 8, i.e. Microsoft should settle on more ideal ("persistent") specifications - and stop pushing prototypes (still too experimental) if that happens.Īnother important thing about the production of these machines is whether the quality (specs) can be trusted. but possibly without support for Windows RT (Surface RT). coming out as a kind of feature "rebranding" of Windows 8. which basically is an upcoming baseline for a Windows RT system. the strange thing on top of this is Win 8.1. and performance not great (going towards worse according to reviews) + hopefully there will be a Surface ![]() you can buy a $ 266 (price dumped) Android device (i.e. how likely is it that Nivdia will provide a WDDM-driver 1.3 for the Microsoft Sufface RT (or any other Windows RT machine using a Tetra 3 SoC)? So back to the reference posted by Carey Frisch above ( ) . However, for Surface RT 2 Nivdia is not the supplier of the SoC. Actually, that was kind of BIG news on Nivdias side last year. and that this particular SoC supports Miracast. Well, we know the Microsoft produced Surface RT uses a Nividia Tetra 3 T30 SoC. (I am pretty sure Miracast will be supported on the v2 though. Is it possible for you to answer whether a WDDM 1.3 driver will come out for the Tetra 3 T30 SoC that Microsoft Surface RT v1 uses? I am referring specifically to Microsofts Surface RT machine. Just to be more precise with the notion of Surface RT. I guess you're trying to answer this as elorate as you can.
